AB  - The history of surfing origins in Spain is an issue rarely explored as yet. In order to go a step further, the paper explores the Spanish press to find references about surfing. The results have been crucial to know the origins of surfing in Spain: in order to fix dates, events and names. The press articles are classified by categories and all of them are listed in chronological order that could be useful as a databasis to other researchers.
