AB The paper deals with the French preposition sous [under]. First it specifies its characteristic features, in particular morphosyntactic ones, in relation to other prepositions, then it focuses on certain aspects of its spatial and temporal uses. The article also presents the results of the linguistic research conducted in France and concerning the present issue.
