AB  - This paper is dedicated to the study of "Victorio Ferri tells a story", one of the initiation stories of the Mexican writer Sergio Pitol. From the reflections of some critics who consider the narrative youth of Pitol as a phase of initiation where the aesthetic challenges that will flourish in the future output of the author are generated, in this paper a further element of continuity will be traced, identified with the interest that throughout his career, Pitol's prose has shown in what Bakhtin calls plurilingualism and dialogism. A re-reading of the narrative from Bakhtin's approach will make it possible to underline that, unlike what happens with the author's mature production, in which dialogism has a festive and carnivalized character, in "Victorio Ferri tells a story", the embryo of this polyphonic passion seems rather to explore the expressive possibilities of the authoritarian word, giving rise to a sort of "anti-dialogism".
