Romanica Olomucensia

Romanica Olomucensia emphasizes the publication of original investigations that contribute new knowledge and understanding to the fields of linguistics, literature, translation and the culture of Romance-language countries. The journal also accepts short book reviews from the above-mentioned disciplines.

The main aim of the journal is to create a bridge between the long-established Central European research tradition in these fields and specialists from Romance-language countries, especially in Europe, but also in America and Africa.

All contributions are published in Romance languages with two abstracts, one in English and one in the language of the paper. Romanica Olomucensia uses double-blind reviewing, i.e., the identities of the authors are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa, throughout the review process. Papers are published after obtaining two positive reviews. In the event of just one negative review, the article is passed on to a third reviewer.

ESCIThe journal is published twice a year by the Department of Romance Studies, Faculty of Arts, Palacký University (Czech Republic). Romanica Olomucensia is indexed in ERIH Plus, EBSCOhost, Dialnet, Latindex, MIAR and the Web of Science Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI). It is also listed in the List of Peer-Reviewed Non-Impact Periodicals Published in the Czech Republic (approved by the national Council for Research and Development).

Romanica Olomucensia (since 2008) is a continuation of Acta Universitatis Palackianae Olomucensis: Facultas Philosophica: Philologica: Romanica Olomucensia (1973–2007), ISSN 0231-634X (1973–2006, I–XVII), ISSN 1802-8713 (2007, XVIII–XIX) ISSN: 1803-4136.
