Aims and Scope
Romanica Olomucensia offers an international forum for the publication of original investigations that contribute new knowledge and understanding to the fields of linguistics, literature, translation, and the culture of Romance-language countries. The journal also accepts short book reviews from the above-mentioned disciplines.
The main aim of the journal is to create a bridge between the long-established Central European research tradition in these fields and specialists from Romance-language countries, especially in Europe, but also in America and Africa.

Abstracting and Indexing
Romanica Olomucensia is indexed in ANVUR (area 10 and "rivista di fascia A" for the field 10/E1), CEEOL, CIRC, Crossref, Dialnet, DOAJ, EBSCOhost, ERIH Plus, Latindex, MIAR, the MLA Directory of Periodicals, REDIB, SCOPUS, and the Web of Science Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI). It is also listed in the List of Peer-Reviewed Non-Impact Periodicals Published in the Czech Republic (approved by the National Council for Research and Development).
Archiving
All articles published since 2013 are available online in the Archive tab and at Dialnet to ensure long-term electronic backup and preservation of access to the journal content.
Publication Frequency
The journal is published twice a year (June and December) by the Department of Romance Studies, Faculty of Arts, Palacký University Olomouc (Czech Republic).
More about this journal
All contributions are published in Romance languages with two abstracts, one in English and one in the language of the paper. Romanica Olomucensia uses double-blind reviewing and does not consider multiple submissions or redundant publications.
There are no author fees for this journal.
Romanica Olomucensia (since 2008) is a continuation of Acta Universitatis Palackianae Olomucensis: Facultas Philosophica: Philologica: Romanica Olomucensia (1973–2007). ISSN 0231-634X (1973–2006, I–XVII); ISSN 1802-8713 (2007, XVIII–XIX).
