L'Auvergne vue par une Parisienne ou l'hommage au pays natal

L'article se concentre sur l'analyse de motifs opposant, la campagne et la ville, dans un univers prosaïque, notamment dans le roman Les Pays de Marie Hélène Lafon, écrivain français contemporain d'origine auvergnate vivant à Paris, et dont les œuvres portent des traits autobiographiques. Dans son récit, l'auteur mélange constamment deux niveaux spatiotemporels : la vie agitée de la capitale y est confrontée à l'existence tranquille de la ferme dans les montagnes. Au centre de l'intérêt se situe le personnage principal, Claire, héroïne du roman, qui doit choisir entre ces deux mondes et faire sa vie.

The Auvergne through the eyes of a Parisian or a tribute to the author's native country

The article focuses on the analysis of opposite motifs, the countryside and the city, in a prosaic universe, particularly in the novel Les Pays by Marie Hélène Lafon, a contemporary French writer, a native of the Auvergne and living in Paris, whose works contain autobiographical elements. In her fiction, the author constantly mixes two spatiotemporal levels: the turbulent life of the capital city is confronted with the peaceful existence of a farm in the mountains. The interest is concentrated on the principal figure, Claire, who has to choose between the two worlds and live her life.
