This contrastive analysis examines different infinitive constructions in protasis, their semantic value and their equivalents in Czech language. Using the parallel corpus Intercorp as the main tool we can define Czech equivalents and check if the meanings of the adverbial infinitives agree with the theory.

In assessing statistical sources, the article compares the state of the European and global Francophonie in 1880 and at the present time. The European Francophonie, or rather the Francophonies, because there are countries with different status within the Francophonie, is special compared to other continents. At the bottom of a historical study and evaluation of statistical data, the article aims to respond primarily to the following questions: what is the paradox of the current European Francophonie? What is the specificity of the French-speaking Czech compared to other European countries? How to promote policy for multilingualism in the concrete situation...

Literary journals are at the peak in 20th century in Spain. Some examples are "Cruz y Raya" or "Hora de España". They were also used by authors as a showcase to show their productions. In Castile and Leon, in the 1920s three publications emerged: "La Cotorra" (Soria), "Manatial" (Segovia) and "Parábola" (Burgos). All of them will be an example of avant-garde. The first one because of its jocular character, which departs from the expected. The second one because of the ultraism of its poetry. And the incorporation of images. The last one shows a plain ultraism.

The goal of this paper is to present the role of the quack doctor by Rutebeuf in the history of the French comedy and his possible influence on the Czech literature. My Sister anxiety, an autobiography of Jan Čep written first-hand in French, was the author's last attempt - fruitless - to gain the French public. It was published by the Christian Academy in Rome only after he died. Since it was issued in 1975 for the first time, some inaccuracies or even errors were spread over the origins of this posthumous autobiography of Čep.
