Pourquoi le masculin à valeur générique est-il si tenace, en français ?
Daniel Elmiger
Romanica Olomucensia 2013, 25(2):113-119 | DOI: 10.5507/ro.2013.014
This article attempts to establish a connection between linguistics and psychoanalysis, using as an example the genericity of masculine forms, a topic which is central, in French, in the debate about the "féminisation des textes" (i. e. avoiding generically used masculine forms) and which seems to be collectively repressed as opposed to the "féminisaton du lexique" (i. e. the coining of female-specific nouns. Moreover, the conceptualisation of the << creation >> of female-specific nouns (by means of an inflexional or derivational process) is discussed and exemplified by analogy with the two narrations of the creation of the first humans...
Reflexiones sobre la inexistencia de la base teórica de la creación y evaluación de las hojas de trabajo para la enseñanza de lenguas extranjeras con un enfoque en la lengua española
Tomáš Kupka
Romanica Olomucensia 2013, 25(2):121-125 | DOI: 10.5507/ro.2013.015
Within the education system, Czech schools typically have considerable freedom with regard to educational content. This phenomenon is evident in the increasing range of didactic resources for teaching, especially textbooks. The situation, however, allows teachers to use their own supplementary didactic materials to improve their teaching process. Most common are worksheets created by teachers, often with the support of European projects. The quality of textbooks is generally evaluated before publication. Worksheets created by teachers, on the other hand, may be put to immediate use in the classroom, so quality may be compromised. The author of this...

Romanica Olomucensia 2013, 25(2):127-143 | DOI: 10.5507/ro.2013.016
After bearing in mind the need for carrying out more research projects focussed on an empirical basis so that training programs and teaching/learning activities have a practical and not an exclusively theoretical fundament, this paper proposes new analytical tools to understand translation for publishing companies within the context of minority languages and cultures. When the source or the target language is Galician, the translator and the several agents that intervene in carrying out such work and in its final result, need to perform a set of operations that belong to the mediation process. Even though a good number of specialists are interested...
La conjugaison du verbe français basée sur le code oral
Martin Pleško
Romanica Olomucensia 2013, 25(2):145-150 | DOI: 10.5507/ro.2013.017
This paper is a comparison of two conjugational systems of the French verbs. The first one, so called traditional conjugation, is based on the infinitive ending of a verb and the second system is based on the phonetic bases of each verb in the Simple Present Tense.
Algunos problemas del análisis de formaciones interfijadas y parasintéticas en español
Petr Stehlík
Romanica Olomucensia 2013, 25(2):151-159 | DOI: 10.5507/ro.2013.018
This article examines three aspects closely related to the mechanisms of interfixation and parasynthesis in Spanish: 1) the importance of diachronic approach for analyzing parasynthetic and interfixed formations; 2) the semantic value of the affix in question; and 3) the consequences of the interpretation of the final segment as derivative or inflectional morpheme in parasynthetic and interfixed verbs. According to our research, the concepts of interfixation and parasynthesis are both based on a diachronic perspective, which makes difficult the application of purely synchronous methods to analyze words formed by these processes. Another problem in...

La (re)construcción de la medina marroquí en las novelas de Juan Goytisolo Reivindicación del Conde Julián y Makbara
Renata Haffaf
Romanica Olomucensia 2013, 25(2):181-187 | DOI: 10.5507/ro.2013.021
The Islamic city emerges in the modern Spanish prose as a dreamworld or space frozen in time - a result of its idiosyncratic characteristics as well as aesthetic, cultural and ideological factors. While Juan Goytisolo explores the Moroccan cities of Tangier and Marrakech in his novels Count Julian (1970) and Makbara (1980), such a traditional representation is consciously integrated into the narration. At the same time the medina is textually reconstructed, some of its elements become central to the writing, linking its "antiquated" space with the author's understanding of modernity.
